I & B ministry said Amarnath to be memorable,8 lakhs pilgrims expected this year

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has urged the (J&K) government to create a short documentary about the Amarnath Yatra and the beautiful places in Kashmir.

Digital Desk: According to Apurva Chand, Secretary of the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, this year's Amarnath pilgrimage will be iconic in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, as 6 to 8 lakh pilgrims are expected to perform the darsh of Shiv Lingam at the Cave shrine of Amarnath in Pahalgam area of the southern district of Anantnag.

According to the additional CEO, a new 3,000-person capacity, 'Yatri Niwas', has been built in the Ramban district of the Jammu region.

Amarnath Yatra will be one of the biggest yatras in the history of J&K, says the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Around 6-8 lakh pilgrims are expected to arrive in Srinagar from across India for this year's pilgrimage.

"Today, I met with administration officials, including the Divisional Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners." "We were told that this year's pilgrimage will be historical and that all necessary arrangements have been formed," Chand said.

Further adding to the conversation, the I & B minister said the weather challenge has been natural and beyond the control of officials. "However, as far as security arrangements are concerned, they have already improved significantly, as evidenced by the increased number of tourists visiting the Valley." Hotels, houseboats, and lodges are booked in advance, indicating a safe environment.

He stated that LG J&K Manoj Sinha recently stated that 80 lakh tourists visited UT in just a few months, a record number. "This in and of itself suggests that the atmosphere is peaceful.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has requested that the J&K administration create a short documentary about the Amarnath Yatra and the beautiful places in Kashmir.
