Digital Desk: The state's women will
be included in a campaign against plastic bags that will be launched by the
Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), which is currently in power. During a function in
Kaithal, party MLA Naina Chautala made this announcement.
She gave out cloth bags to the
attendees of the programme and advised them to refrain from using plastic bags
in order to help the campaign succeed. Only women can help the
"Polythene-Free Haryana" campaign succeed by refusing to use plastic
bags inside their homes. Even we, she continued, "require your help and
involvement in this effort."
In her speech, Chautala also mentioned
the government's numerous assistance programmes for women. Special reservations
have even been made for them to enhance the number of women participating in
panchayati raj institutions. Even government-run fair-priced stores or ration
depots were given to women first.
