    Active cases: In just 24 hours, there has been an increase of 577 cases in the COVID-19 backlog. According to the ministry, active cases make up 0.31 percent of all infections.

    16,167 new instances of the novel coronavirus were reported in India. The Union
    Health Ministry released figures on Monday, August 8, showing that the overall
    recovery rate was approximately 98.50% and the total number of recoveries was
    4,34,99,659.



    According
    to data from the health ministry today, there are now 1,35,510 active COVID-19
    cases in India as a whole. There were 1,34,933 active cases registered
    yesterday.



    Active

    COVID-19 backlog. According to the ministry, active cases make up 0.31 percent
    of all infections.



     The
    current death toll in the nation is 5,26,730. The first COVID pandemic-related
    mortality in India was recorded in March 2020.



    On August 8, a daily positive rate of
    6.14 percent was noted.



    Testing
    by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR): As of August 7, 87,81,88,162
    samples had undergone COVID-19 testing. On Sunday, 2,631,419 of these samples
    were examined.



    On
    Sunday, Maharashtra reported 1,812 new cases of COVID-19, a little decline from
    the previous day's total of 1,931 infections. With one fatality reported by the
    state, the overall number of coronavirus infections has reached 80,59,732 and
    the death toll has reached 1,48,139.
