In the next 5 years, petrol will be banned in the country! Nitin Gadkari's major statement

The Union Minister presumably added that petrol will not be used in the next five years, and fuel oil will be banned in the country.

Digital Desk: The average person in the country cannot even fathom a ban on petrol, but Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has declared that such a ban will be implemented within the next five years, will disappear and cease to exist.

In the near future, it will be clear whether the Union Minister's assertion is true. But if a less expensive petrol substitute is introduced across the nation, it will be a huge relief for the average person.

In a speech delivered on Thursday at the 36th convocation of the Dr Punjab Rao Deshmukh Agricultural University in Akola, Gadkari predicted that petrol would soon be outlawed in the nation. Gadkari was also awarded a doctor of science degree by the Agriculture University.

Nitin Gadkari has said that petrol will not be used in the country for the next five years.

According to media reports mentioning Gadkari, bio-ethanol produced in Maharashtra's Vidarbha district is used in vehicles. Green hydrogen can be produced from deep well water and sold for Rs 70 per kilogramme. Union Minister also said that the country will run out of petrol in the next five years, and at that point, fossil fuel will be banned.

Gadkari also emphasised the importance of farmers becoming energy providers as well as food providers. He stated that no farmer can change his or her future by simply planting wheat, rice, or maize.

At the university's 36th convocation ceremony, Governor and Chancellor of Public Universities Bhagat Singh Koshyari conferred the degree on the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. Former Vice-Chancellor Dr Motilal Madan, current Vice-Chancellor Dr Vilas Bhale, the registrar, deans of faculty, professors, teachers, and graduate students were all present.
