Itanagar : Incessant monsoon rains and landslides has thrown life out of gear in Arunachal Pradesh’s Kameng region leading to road blockage and many areas blocked making tourists stranded in the state.
As per reports, landslides triggered by heavy showers have rung in massive trouble for the easternmost state of India which is prone to natural calamities like flood.
Due to intermittent downpour in the state, landslides have blocked many important roads and highways triggering a dangerous situation in the state. Communication has come to a halt in the state with tourists stuck in many regions.
Many houses, restaurants and small hutments have come under the grip of the landslide. With communication and transportation almost snapped off in West Kameng district, rescue operation is getting risky as well as delayed due to heavy downpour.
Many commuters and vehicles carrying tourists are stuck in the main highway due to the landslide. The district administration and the disaster management team have taken the stock of the situation and have called in the rescue operation team including the Indian Army have come in help in rescue the commuters as well as tourists stuck on the road due to the road blockage.
