Digital Desk: At a military facility near Ahmednagar,
Maharashtra, India successfully tested laser-guided anti-tank guided missiles
    (ATGMs) on Thursday.

According to the defence ministry, the missiles precisely
destroyed the targets at two separate ranges.

Rajnath Singh, the Indian Army, and the Defence Research and
Development Organization (DRDO), the company that makes ATGMs, were praised for
the successful testing of the weapon.

The DRDO and Indian Army successfully tested laser-guided
anti-tank guided missiles from the Main Battle Tank (MBT) Arjun, according to
    the ministry.

With assistance from the Armoured Corps Center and School, the
missile test shooting was completed at the KK Ranges in Ahmednagar.

"At two separate ranges, the missiles struck precisely and
annihilated the targets. The missiles' satisfactory flight performance was
captured by telemetry equipment "the ministry of defence stated.

The explosive reactive armour (ERA) covered armoured vehicles
are defeated by a tandem High explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead used by the
all-indigenous laser guided ATGM, according to the statement.

The ATGM, which was designed to launch from many platforms,
is now undergoing technical evaluation tests from the 120 mm rifled gun of the
    MBT Arjun.

The personnel involved in the ATGM test shooting received
congratulations from DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy as well.
