The Indian public is protesting against the Indian flag burning incident which took place in London by a group of pro-Khalistan activists at the backdrop of the Commonwealth summit in London.
The Ministry of External Affairs made an official statement mentioning that the outrage over the incident was expressed at the highest level of the host country and India expects UK will take legal action against the perpetrators who humiliated and disrespected the National Flag of India.
The Official Spokesperson of the MEA said, “We are deeply anguished with the incident involving our National Flag and assault on an Indian Journalist at Parliament Square in London. The moment the incident came to our notice, it was promptly and strongly taken up by us with the UK side”
The incident which has angered the whole nation actually involved a group of pro-Khalistan activists and a group of pro-freedom Kashmiri, who were protesting, even as the Commonwealth heads of Government meeting got under way.
The incident has literally shocked everyone. Not only Indians but even citizens of UK have publicly condemned the burning of our National Flag as a National disrespect, and the perpetrators shouldn’t be left out in the public. The incident reportedly took place in a front of a large presence of Police in the UK capital.
