On September 27, JNU is expected to launch a portal for UG
admission through CUET.
Digital Desk: According to an official, Jawaharlal Nehru
University plans to launch the admission portal for undergraduate admission
2020 via Common University Entrance Test (CUET) on September 27.
This year, the university is accepting CUET scores for admission
to its various programs.
According to officials, "JNU is planning to launch the JNU
portal for UG admissions by tomorrow, September 27th, 2022."
The announcement comes just days after the National Testing
Agency announced the results of the first edition of the CUET for undergraduate
admissions (NTA).
Soon after the announcement of the results, JNU's Deputy
Registrar - Admission, Jagdish Singh, issued a notice stating that the
admission branch is processing data and details of candidates provided by the
NTA and that the portal will open shortly on its website.
"Following the declaration of CUET UG 2022 by NTA, the
admission branch is processing data, details of candidates provided by the NTA
and shall open the portal shortly on JNU website for candidates seeking
admission in JNU to fill application form by paying the processing fee,"
the September 16 notice stated.
The university provides approximately 10 UG and 34 PG
courses. The university has 342 undergraduate and 1025 graduate seats available
in various schools and disciplines.
JNU has been offering admission through the JNU Entrance
Examination JNUEE in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at various locations across
the country since 2019.
