Digital Desk: The Madhya Pradesh Police have arrested a man for reportedly mimicking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The accused, identified as Adil Ali (38), was arrested in Jabalpur after a video of him doing the act went popular on social media platforms.
Superintendent of Police, Siddarth Bahuguna, said that Ali was arrested for mimicking and saying offensive comments about PM Modi and the Union Home Minister.
As per the official reports, the police charged Ali under IPC sections 153 and 294.
Earlier, in March, Uttar Pradesh Police arrested a man from Azamgarh for making derogatory statements about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Yogi Adityanath during the electoral campaign.
Moreover, an assistant teacher was terminated for apparently making derogatory statements about the Prime Minister and chief minister Yogi Adityanath. The teacher was found participating in public gatherings and political party campaigning.
On the other hand, District Basic Education Officer Praveen Kumar Tiwari was suspended after a video surfaced of him campaigning and making unpleasant remarks about PM Modi and the UP CM at a public political party meeting.
