A 12 feet metal pillar inside the Taj Mahal premises also called the Darwaza-e-Rauza collapsed in the wee hours of morning after heavy downpour. Along with 12 feet metal pillar the minaret and the dome came down collapsing breaking into several pieces.
Heavy downpour along with thunderstorm crossing a speed of 100km per hour lashed out across Uttar Pradesh yesterday. No casualties have been reported from the incident till now.
Meanwhile the Supreme Court has sent orders to Sunni Waqf Board to submit proves of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan giving them signed documents to proof that the Taj Mahal belongs to the Sunni Waqf board. The Sunni board has claimed that the sole owner of Taj Mahal is Emperor Shah Jahan, who in the Waqf Nama passed it on to them.
Chief Justice of India Dipak Mishra has told the board issues of such kind on waste court time and that nobody in India will believe that the Taj Mahal belongs to Sunni Waqf Board. Sunni Waqf Nama has laid claims on Taj Mahal and that it belongs to them and not the government of India or the ASI.
