National Cinema Day 2022: Ticket sales expected to smash records, as tickets sold at a base price of Rs 75
Watch movies on the big screen for a low fee of Rs 75, thanks to an initiative launched by the Multiplex Association of India on National Cinema Day.

Digital Desk: As part of a Multiplex Association of India (MAI) effort, tickets will be available on September 23 for just Rs 75 for everyone, allowing viewers to see movies like Brahmastra, Chup, and Vendhu Thanindathu Kaadu on the big screen.

The likes of Everything Everywhere All At Once, Dhokha: Round D Corner, Sita Ramam, Fakt Mahilao Maate, and a few others are among the other films that one can view for that small charge of Rs 75.

And indeed, based on the fact that Friday's showings at the movies are all sold out, it appears to have already been a big success (September 23).

According to a notification published by the Multiplex Association of India, the response to the pre-sales has been unprecedented, and the 23rd of September is expected to surpass all other days of the year for attendance at movie theatres nationwide.

In the meantime, it should be mentioned that some States, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, would not be able to have cinemas participate in the National Cinema Day celebrations due to State Regulations regarding cinemas and ticket pricing.

On National Cinema Day, participating theatres throughout all States (including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala) will be offering special deals.

National Cinema Day was originally scheduled to be observed on September 16, however, it was postponed. According to reports, the same was done to stay up with Brahmastra's box office performance, and it appears that it went reasonably well.

September 23 already appears to be a success based on the record-breaking number of reservations made in advance.

In India, 4000 screens are offering movie tickets for just Rs 75.

How to Get a Movie Ticket for Rs. 75:

The following instructions can be used to reserve movie tickets for Rs 75 on September 23.
