Digital Desk: The three-day Charaideo Festival, 2025 began on Thursday at the Charaideo Maidam Ground. This festival has been organized to celebrate the UNESCO World Heritage site tag for the Charaideo Maidam.
The day is dedicated to Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a prominent physician and the second chief minister of West Bengal, whose birthday and death anniversary both fall on the same day. He had the opinion that the only individual capable of achieving India's liberation, or Swaraj, was one who was in good physical and mental condition.
