Lipo (Arunachal Pradesh) : The Indian Air Force confirmed that no survivors have been found at the crash site where the wreckage of the ill-fated AN-32 was sighted in Arunachal Pradesh’s Lipo on June 11th, 2019.
An 8 member team of the Indian Air Force was air dropped near the crash site on Wednesday for a search operation to look for the possibilities of any survivor.
It is to be mentioned that a 15 member team of rescuers was airlifted on 12 June near the crash site to look for possible survivors of the crash.
Following are the names of the 13 member crew team who lost their lives in the tragic incident: W/C- Wing Commander, S/L- Squadron Leader, F/L- Flight Lieutenant, WO- Warrant Officer, Sgt- Sergiant, Cpl- Corporal, LAC- Leading Aircraftman, NC(E)- Non Combatant( Enrolled).
The aircraft went off Radar on June 3 after taking off from Assam’s Jorhat Air Base which was heading towards Mechuka. After losing contact with the Control room, a massive search operation over an expanded area was initiated by the Indian Air Force.
