2 Indian Army men were killed in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the Sunderbani region in Jammu and Kashmir, along the Line of Control (LoC). The Indian Army retaliated strongly and effectively though losing the lives of their two jawans, Vinod Singh (24) and Jaki Sharma (30) during the exchange of fire.
Riflemen Vinod Singh and Jaki Sharma were grievously injured during the retaliation who soon after succumbed to their injuries.
The Pakistan Army has become habitual to violating ceasefire across the Line of Control in Jammu Kashmir although our Army men have successfully reciprocated to the sudden exchange of fire across the tension border.
Prior to the April 9, 2018 ceasefire violation, the Pakistan Army had resorted to ceasefire violation on March 2, where there was a heavy shelling across the border mostly targeting the Indian civilians and soldiers.
Both Vinod Singh and Jaki Sharma were permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir. While Vinod was a resident of Danapur village in Jourian, Akhnoor district of Jammu and Kashmir and Jaki Sharma was resident of Sanhail village, Hiranagar, Jammu district in Jammu and Kashmir.
