Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ayodhya for the Deepotsav ceremony on October 23, the eve of Diwali. The Ram ki Paidi ghats' sixth Deepotsav (festival of lamps) will take place this year.
PM Modi would likely attend the "Deepotsav" and "aarti" festivities as well as offer prayers at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. On the banks of the Saryu River, he will see green and digital pyrotechnics, and he will subsequently examine the Ram temple's ongoing construction.
Thousands of lamps are lit during Ayodhya's Deepotsav festival, and the state government has been in charge of the planning since Yogi Adityanath took office. Last week, CM Yogi reviewed Deepotsav preparations and commanded that the roads leading to Ayodhya be made free of potholes.
To celebrate Diwali this year, up to 17 lakh earthen lights will be illuminated in Ayodhya. As part of the Deepotsav celebrations last year, 9 lakh clay lamps were lit. A record-breaking 5.84 lakh diyas were lightened in 2020.
The UP Tourism's Twitter handle tweeted a video showing the ongoing preparations for the grand celebration where every year new record is made with the lighting of diyas.
