    PM Narendra Modi inaugurates Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express

    The Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train was launched at Gandhinagar railway station by PM Narendra Modi.


    Digital Desk: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started off the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express at Gandhinagar railway station. 


    On the second day of his visit to Gujarat, he would inaugurate phase I of the Ahmedabad Metro train project and announce several projects totalling Rs 7,200 crore.


    At roughly 10.25 a.m., Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express from Gandhinagar Capital Railway Station. He also rode the train from Gandhinagar to Ahmedabad's Kalupur railway station.



    The prime minister will inaugurate phase one of the ambitious and long-awaited Ahmedabad Metro project, which was completed at a cost of Rs 12,925 crore, at Kalupur station, according to a state government announcement.


    Around midday, he was scheduled to address a sizable crowd at the Doordarshan Centre in Thaltej after boarding a metro train at the Kalupur station, according to the statement.


    The PM will arrive in Ambaji town in the Banaskantha district in the evening to officially launch several projects totalling Rs 7,200 crore. The announcement further stated that after speaking to a crowd, he would lead an aarti at the well-known Ambaji temple.


    The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is in power and has dominated Gujarat, Modi's home state, for nearly three decades, is putting forth all of its energy to win the next Assembly elections.

    Western Railway announced that the Vande Bharat Superfast Express train will run six days a week between Mumbai Central and Gandhinagar stations. The train will leave Mumbai Central at 6.10 a.m. and arrive in Gandhinagar at 12.30 p.m.


    The train will leave Gandhinagar at 2.05 p.m. and arrive at Mumbai Central at 8.35 p.m., according to the statement. It will stop in both directions at Surat, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad.


    According to the statement, the train's compartments will include sliding doors, individualised reading lamps, mobile charging outlets, attendant call buttons, bio-toilets, automatic entry and exit doors, CCTV cameras, reclining amenities, and comfortable seats.
