In response to the latest Parliament washout, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with his party members will observe a day-long fast on Thursday in protest against the recent chaos caused by the “opposition party”.
Modi will keep working from his residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg despite the fast. Later in the day, he will be heading to Tamil Nadu to inaugurate the defence expo in Kanchipuram near Chennai. BJP Chief Amit Shah will be joining PM Narendra Modi in the fast from Hubli, Karnataka. Union Minister JP Nadda will be heading the protest on behalf of PM Narendra Modi from his constituency Varanasi as the PM will be busy with his official engagements.
The day-long fast by the BJP will be in protest against the Congress for its undemocratic style of functioning, and pursuing schismatic politics and anti-development agenda. PM has declared this fast mandatory for all party members before the collector at their respective district headquarters and should clearly place facts before the public and media that the Congress has strangulated democracy by stalling Parliament.”
