"I felt motivated to study after the film 'Dasvi' was shot in the jail where a prisoner cleared board examinations," said Jitendra Singh, one of the prisoners who passed his exams.

'Dasvi' was a film starring Abhishek Bachchan whose character is jailed on the charges of corruption under a tough cop. In order to avoid working, the ignorant politician decides to spend his time preparing for high school. However, education causes significant changes in his personality and way of thinking, which transform him into an honest politician.

According to reports, the jail offers a library where inmates can study, and other knowledgeable inmates assist their less-educated brethren in their studies.
