A video has gone viral on social media where a train contractor is allegedly shown to be using a train’s toilet water to make tea and coffee.
As soon as the video was seen to becoming viral, netizens started sending long complaints to the Railway Minister of the alleged video and strict action to be taken against such contractors who after getting sufficient funds from the government involve in such disgusting work putting the passenger’s life at risk.
The vending contractor seen in the video has been slapped with a fine of Rs one lakh by the railways after a video surfaced suggesting that water from a train toilet was being used to prepare tea and coffee, the South Central Railway (SCR) in Hyderabad on Thursday. In the video in circulation in social media in the past few days, a vendor was seen coming out of a train toilet with tea and coffee cans, conveying that water was ‘mixed’ in the cans inside the toilet, it said.
The incident had occurred in December last year onboard Chennai Central-Hyderabad Charminar Express at Secunderabad railway station here, a release said days after the video surfaced and went viral. “An inquiry was conducted, and on the basis of it stringent action to be taken place the government is planning to impose similar actions on the other miscreants who try to play with the lives of the passengers who after paying for their cup of tea or coffee thinking the railway authorities are giving them quality food, are actually not receiving what they need to receive of their pay,”
