Africa's upcoming T20 league, further solidifying its expanding global presence
in cricket. The new franchise, which will be based in Cape Town, will carry the
Mumbai Indians name forward and is closely followed by the acquisition of the
International League T-20 team based in the UAE.
Through its ownership of
cricket franchises, the Indian Football League, sports sponsorship, consulting,
athlete talent management, and the introduction of industry best practises,
Reliance Industries has played a significant role in the evolution of the
sports ecosystem.
