Jodhpur court heard the bail plea put forward by actor Salman Khan and has granted him suspension of sentence so he can further appeal against his conviction and sentencing.
Salman Khan, who spent two days in the jail as prisoner no. 106, sharing cell wall with self styled godman Asaram Bapu, has been released on a bond of Rs 50,000 and two sureties of like amount, said by his lawyer Mahesh Bora.
Although, Salman wouldn’t be able to leave the country until the appeal does not reach the court of his next hearing which is going to take place on May 7. Till then Salman Khan can carry on his pending film projects and file an appeal against his conviction.
Salman Khan was convicted of killing two black bucks in 1998, which is an endangered antelope, while out for a shooting in Jodhpur for his film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
