Itanagar : Shrouded amidst natural calamity, Arunachal Pradesh has been recently facing immense landslides and incessant rainfall in the last few days. A school wall in Arunachal Pradesh collapsed in the hilly terrain shrouded amidst natural disasters. With the monsoon rains bringing torrential rains in the entire northeast, Arunachal Pradesh is already facing cases of landslides and road blockages.
Torrential rains have triggered landslides and have thrown normal life out of gear in Arunachal Pradesh.
A school wall collapsed in Arunachal Pradesh killing two girl students and injuring three others. The deceased have been identified as Rinchin Lahmur (10), a student of class V and Genden Wangmu (10), a Class VI student. Another student, Sange Pema (12) of class VII sustained grievous injuries.
About 19 girl students were at the residential school when the landslide occurred around 3.15 am.
It may be mentioned that torrential rains, flash floods and landslides have wreaked havoc in several parts of the state in the past 72 hours washing away several dwelling houses, bridges, roads.
The Bhalukpong-Charduar-Tawang road in West Kameng district have remained closed for the fifth day on July 11th, 2019 due to the massive landslides at several stretches of the road.
