    The Indian Army raised a 75-foot national flag at Vivekananda Rock in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, in honour of Independence Day.


    Digital Desk: The Indian Army unfurled a 75-foot national flag at the Vivekananda Rock in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. It was done as part of the Independence Day celebration, which has been marked by several events across the nation.


    On August 11, officers from the Pangode Military Station in Thiruvananthapuram raised a 75-foot banner of the Indian Flag.



    They stated in a statement that "as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the amphibious warriors unfurled a 75-foot national flag at the junction of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean, at the southernmost tip of peninsular India (Kanyakumari Vivekananda Rock)."


    In addition, a military band performed the song "Saare Jahan Se Acha" for the event, and Kalarippayattu, a traditional Keralan martial technique, was demonstrated.
