ECR has canceled over a dozen trains and redirected over two dozen others scheduled for Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, and other parts of northern Bihar and Jharkhand as a result of the protests.

Digital Desk: Train services on the Patna-Kolkata route of the East Central Railway (ECR) zone were affected due to agitation at the Barhiya railway station in Bihar, officials reported on Monday.

According to reports, a large number of people have squatted on the tracks at the station, about 120 km from Patna, demanding a stoppage for the Patliputra Express and a few other trains at the Barhiya railway station. They have blocked both up and down railway lines and are not allowing any trains to pass through.

Both these trains going from Downside New Delhi to Howrah will also use the same route.
