In connection with alleged violations of the recently abolished liquor policy, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a 14-hour-long raid at Sisodia's home.
Digital Desk: After the CBI raided Manish Sisodia's home on Friday, he was accused of several things, which he addressed in a press conference on Saturday.
When discussing the excise policy, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia called it the "best excise policy" and said that if Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinai Kumar Saxena hadn't thwarted its implementation, the programme would have generated Rs 10,000 crore in revenue annually.
"The best policy for the nation is the excise policy, which is the cause of the entire debate. We were applying it honestly and transparently. If Delhi LG had not altered his mind and worked to undermine the scheme, the Delhi government would have received at least Rs 10,000 crore annually, "added he.
He further explained the raids by saying, "Officers from the CBI visited my home yesterday. They also searched the deputy chief minister's office for the Education Ministry. In both locales, every cop was a terrific person. They were quite well-behaved. They had to follow orders from higher up, but I want to commend them for their good behavior. "
Sisodia criticized the Union government for failing to look into the Gujarat excise scandal and said that he was being singled out because he is a minister under Arvind Kejriwal. Additionally, he suggested Kejriwal as a contender for prime minister and claimed the raids were an effort to prevent him from working.

Manish Sisodia discussed the New York Times piece and said, "The New York Times, the largest daily in America, yesterday featured a front-page report on Delhi's educational system. India can be proud of it. They published another article around 1.5 years ago that was terrible and showed thousands of bodies being burned along the Ganga."
The BJP responds to Sisodia's remarks
"As expected, Manish Sisodia is diverting and ducking instead of answering precise questions presented to him on the liquor scam, characteristic of the guilty," BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala remarked."
