    Three Jharkhand Congress MLAs who were caught in Bengal with money have been arrested

    The Congress party suspended three MLAs after the West Bengal Police found a sizable sum of cash in their vehicles on Saturday. The police said the quantity of cash was between Rs. 48 and Rs. 50 lakh but did not give a precise figure.

    detained are Congress MLAs from Jharkhand who were found in West Bengal with a
    large amount of cash. It was discovered that the MLAs' vehicles had Rs 50 lakh
    in cash.



    Police
    have also taken a driver and a helper into custody. Present in Howrah District
    Court were the three MLAs who were held today.



    The

    top police source claims that the state CID has taken over the investigation
    from the Howrah Rural Police.



    The SUV transporting MLAs Irfan
    Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap, and Naman Bixal Kongari was stopped on National
    Highway-16 near Ranihati in the vicinity of the Panchla police station.

    by three MLAs, Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachchap, and Naman Bixal Kongari, on
    National Highway-16 close to Ranihati.



    Ansari is an MLA for Jamtara, while
    Kongari is an MLA for Simdega, Kachchap is an MLA for Ranchi, and Ansari is an
    MLA for Khijri in Jamtara.



    Irfan Ansari's brother, Imran, said
    that his brother was being duped and that the funds were meant to be spent on
    "items for tribals." These people had rushed to Kolkata's Bada Bazaar
    once again this year like they had done every year. He added that every year,
    his brother buys sarees from Bada Bazaar for native women.



    This recovery takes place concurrently
    with the seizure of a substantial amount of money from assets linked to former
    TMC minister Partha Chatterjee, who is being investigated in connection with
    the school jobs scandal.



    "They
    couldn't explain why they were carrying so much money about." We are not
    satisfied with their justification that they came here to purchase sarees to
    donate to tribal women. They are detained awaiting additional investigation.

    The Prevention of Corruption Act and
    the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which include relevant sections that address
    criminal conspiracy, have been used to file charges against the five people,
    including the MLAs.



    The Congress claims that the BJP is
    aiming to topple the Jharkhand administration.



    Avinash Pande, the leader of the
    Congress, alleged that during the past two years, there have been attempts to
    overthrow the government in Jharkhand and that MPs have occasionally been
    approached, intimidated, and blackmailed.



    Rajesh
    Thakur, head of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), commented on
    the money confiscated from three Congress legislatures and said that the BJP
    was behind the plot.



    "They
    have long attempted to topple non-BJP governments in non-BJP controlled
    states." How they overthrew the Maharsthara regime is also known to the
    public, "he added.
