As per the sources of the Central Investigation Agency, the cash that has been recovered will be taken to the truck's trunk.
In the late evening of Wednesday, the truck arrived at Arpita's Belgharia home at about 11.15. The ED sources reported that there are reportedly 20 trunks inside the vehicle. There are thousands of crores of recovered rupees in those trunks. As soon as they heard the vehicle was arriving, two more State Bank of India personnel arrived at Arpita's apartment. ED further claims that Arpita allegedly has more cash at home. It has been called for two more bank staff to count it.
Four note counting machines have been in use since the evening for money counting. 15 crore rupees could be counted in the first round, said ED sources. It was announced shortly after that another 5 crore rupees had been counted. In addition to this, several gold bars have been located. It was previously thought that it could have a market worth of at least two crore rupees. Coins made of silver were also found. ED officials said a number of documents have also been discovered.
In any case, the ED discovered 21 crores in cash, jewellery, and foreign currency in Arpita's apartment in a luxury Tollygunge building on Friday. After that, when it was known that Partha's' intimate friend 'also has a flat in Belgharia, ED raided it on Wednesday morning.
