Digital Desk: In a shocking incident, a woman identified as Rita Devi was caught on camera assaulting her mother Nirmala Devi in Haryana's Hisar over a property dispute. Rita was seen assaulting her mother physically and mentally to get the property transferred to her name.
The video, widely shared on social media, where Rita said to her mother "I will drink your blood", pulled her hair, slapped and beat her. The victim, Nirmala Devi was sitting in a bed and crying in the three-minute video.
Rita's brother Amardeep Singh filed a police complaint after the video went viral. He also alleged that the woman had been holding their mother captive. Following this, police registered a case against her under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitya and the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
In the viral video, the woman said, "Maza aa raha hai, khoon piyungi" (This is fun, I will drink your blood).
Amandeep Singh in his complaint said that Rita married Sanjay Punia, a Rajgarh resident two years ago. Since then, both of them have been living with his mother and harassing Nirmala Devi over property disputes.
Amandeep also alleged that his sister already sold a family property for Rs 65 lakh and kept the money. He accused Rita of preventing him from visiting their home.
