Arunachal CM Khandu: Modi government focuses beyond political agenda
Khandu claimed that supporting and voting for BJP candidates in the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections is the best and only method to do so.....

Digital desk: Chief Minister Pema Khandu at a public meeting on Monday said that Arunachal Pradesh is not seen politically by the BJP-led government nation wide under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking at a public gathering in this Lower Subansiri district, Khandu cited Prime Minister Modi's remarks from his speech in Itanagar on March 9, in which he stated that the government's policy towards the North Eastern states is not contingent on the party's majority in parliament.

CM Khandu said, "We contribute only two MPs to the Lok Sabha and only one to Rajya Sabha but this number factor has been overlooked by Modi and since day one has been supporting the state in its accelerated development on all fronts."

He urged the people to see their surroundings with an open mind and take in the changes that Arunachal has seen since Narendra Modi took office as prime minister in 2014.

“Earlier governments at the Centre always considered the North East unimportant as politically the states here do not contribute much in government formation at Delhi. That’s the only reason for the underdevelopment of North-Eastern states. We are lucky that Narendra Modi came to power in 2014 and since then changed the fate of these states,” he said.

Khandu also expressed his gratitude to the prime minister for revealing plans to invest Rs. 55000 crore in infrastructure from Itanagar for the Northeast. He revealed that Arunachal Pradesh receives a staggering Rs 41000 crore worth of projects out of these 55000 crore.

Declaring that it's time to show our appreciation and say "thank you" to Modi, Khandu claimed that supporting and voting for BJP candidates in the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections is the best and only method to do so.

Khandu had earlier in the day visited the site of India's first Integrated Aqua Museum, which is now being built in Tarin. The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana project is anticipated to transform the state's fisheries industry and improve livelihoods by giving farmers new streams of revenue.

He also went to the Water Treatment Plant, which Prime Minister Modi had on March 9 practically dedicated to the people. The Chief Minister Khandu laid the groundwork for two new projects and inaugurated five recently finished ones.

Party leaders, district administration representatives, and local lawmaker Tage Taki, the minister of agriculture, were also present.
