    Defence Minister virtually inaugurates Nechiphu Tunnel in Arunachal
    Along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Rajnath Singh officially inaugurated up to 90 development projects for the country.

    Digital Desk: On Tuesday, Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, virtually inaugurated the Nechiphu Tunnel on the Balipara-Charduar-Tawang motorway in Arunachal Pradesh.

    The Nechiphu Tunnel and the Sela Tunnel, which are both currently under construction, will reportedly give the strategically important Tawang region year-round connection. Both the armed soldiers stationed nearby and visitors to the picturesque Tawang will profit from it.

    Along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), Rajnath Singh officially inaugurated up to 90 development projects for the country.

    The Border Road Organisation (BRO) built all of the projects, which were spread throughout 10 Border States and union territories in India's Northern and North-Eastern regions, at a total cost of Rs 2941 crore.


    It should be noted that the minister has also officially opened 22 highways, 63 bridges, two airfields in West Bengal, and two helipads in addition to the Nechiphu Tunnel.

    Eleven of the projects are in Jammu and Kashmir, 26 are in Ladakh, 36 are in Arunachal Pradesh, 5 are in Mizoram, 3 are in Himachal Pradesh, 2 are in Sikkim, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal, and 1 is in each of Nagaland, Rajasthan, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
