    IMD issues heavy rainfall and flash flood alert in Manipur
    The IMD warns that the rain could result in flash floods, landslides, mudslides, water logging, tree uprooting, poor visibility, disruption of transportation, and lightning strikes.

    Digital Desk: Four Manipur districts will see heavy to very heavy rainfall on August 6 and 7, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

    The districts are Tamenglong, Jiribam, Ukhrul, and Kamjong. The IMD has recommended the residents of these districts to exercise caution and stay away from unnecessary travel.

    The IMD warns that the rain could result in flash floods, landslides, mudslides, water logging, tree uprooting, poor visibility, disruption of transportation, and lightning strikes.
    The IMD has also issued a warning over the potential for agricultural damage in the districts of Ukhrul and Kamjong, where the crops are mature.

    The district administrations and the disaster management authorities have been asked by the IMD to remain attentive and prepared to handle any emergency.

    The IMD has also urged everyone to heed the advice of local authorities and avoid risky regions. According to the IMD, it will keep an eye on the situation and provide more updates as needed.
