IMD predicts extended rain and thunderstorms across North-East India

It is predicted that Guwahati and the surrounding areas will have partly overcast skies...

Digital Desk: The Northeastern states are expected to experience mild to moderate rainfall, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The cyclonic circulation over central Assam, which is currently over northeast Assam and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level, is responsible for this prediction. The weather pattern is also being influenced by a trough that extends from east Bihar to the previously stated cyclonic circulation.
