    BJP national president JP Nadda to arrive in Nagaland to hold rally today

    Digital Desk: BJP national president JP Nadda is expected to visit Nagaland on Friday to participate in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election rally, as per a press release. The rally is scheduled to take place at Chumukedima, Nagaland's Agri Expo. 


    Benjamin Yepthomi, the state president of the BJP, called an emergency meeting on Thursday at his home in Thahekhu village, Dimapur, in anticipation of Nadda's arrival. Party leaders were present at the meeting, which was centered on setting up the appropriate procedures and other details for the BJP National President's visit.

     

    The assembly also reaffirmed its commitment to make sure that Chumben Murry, the PDA consensus candidate, wins the upcoming Lok Sabha Election with a landslide. Phangnon Konyak, a state vice president and Rajya Sabha MP, and Kropol Vitsu, a state vice president and advisor to the Nagaland government on prisons, printing, and stationery, were among the notable guests at the meeting. 


    The presence of Morcha Presidents and Dimapur District Office Bearers, in addition to several state office bearers, spokespersons, social media teams, and media teams, highlighted the extent of the party's extensive preparations for the occasion. 


     In Nagaland, the single-seat election is slated for April 19, and the counting is scheduled for June 4. Tokheho Yepthomi, the candidate for the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), won the previous 2019 election.
