Digital Desk: In the wake of a daring attack on state police commandos in the border town of Moreh, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has voiced grave concerns about the escalating assaults on state forces.

The incident, which unfolded in Tengnoupal district on December 31, left five police commandos injured. Swift action saw the injured personnel airlifted to Imphal for medical attention, where they were admitted to a local hospital.

Singh, reacting to the severity of the recent attacks, has labelled them a significant national security threat. Emphasizing the active involvement of both state and central security forces in maintaining control over the situation, the Chief Minister stressed the need for a robust and comprehensive approach to counter those relentless in their attempts to destabilize Manipur.

"The unprecedented attacks against the state forces in recent times have become a serious national security threat. While the state and central security forces are actively engaged in maintaining control over the situation, it is also imperative for the combined security forces to adopt a robust and comprehensive approach to deal with these elements, who are relentlessly attempting to destabilize the state of Manipur," stated Chief Minister N Biren Singh.

In response to the incident, Singh convened a high-level meeting with BJP state president A Sharda Devi, ministers, MLAs, and party leaders to formulate a strategy. He announced that a high-level delegation would soon travel to Delhi to meet central leaders and apprise them of the precarious situation in Manipur. This move underscores the Chief Minister's commitment to addressing the security challenges faced by the state and seeking support at the national level.

As Manipur grapples with these security threats, the proactive measures and collaborative efforts between state and central authorities are crucial to ensuring stability. The upcoming delegation's mission to Delhi reflects a coordinated approach to seeking support and addressing the pressing issues at hand.
