    Digital Desk: On September 14, Manipur police recovered weapons and destroyed a bunker in the state's Kangpokpi district as part of ongoing search operations.

    Manipur Police posted the info on social media platform X (Twitter), "Search operations were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Thoubal, Thoubal, Imphal East, Imphal-West, Kakching Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts in which 01 (one) arm was recovered from Thoubal district and 1 (one) bunker was dismantled at Kangpokpi District. A total of 128 Nakas/ Checkpoints were installed in different Districts of Manipur, both in the hill and the valley and Police detained 1853 persons in connection with violations in different districts of the State”.


    The security forces launched a search operation in the peripheral and vulnerable regions of Thoubal, Imphal East, Imphal West, Kakching Churachandpur, and Kangpokpi districts, recovering one arm from Thoubal and dismantling one bunker from Kangpokpi.

    A total of 128 nakas/checkpoints were built across Manipur, including in the hill and valley regions. The police apprehended 1853 people in connection with violations in various regions throughout the state.
