Prime Minister Modi said that the Congress had ignored the border villages.....

Digital desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his visit to Arunachal Pradesh, criticized the previous UPA administration, which was led by the Congress, for 'neglecting' border villages in the northeastern states.

He praised the 'Vibrant Village Programme' of his government. In Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, during the 'Viksit Bharat Viksit Northeast' event, Prime Minister Modi said that the Congress had ignored the border villages. On the other hand, he started the Vibrant Village Program because he believed these to be the original villages.

In response to the 'Without Parivaar' taunt, the Prime Minister said he is working nonstop to build a 'Viksit Bharat' and make sure that youngsters have a better future.

Leaders of the INDI Alliance have questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's familial links and increased their criticism of him. In response, Modi said that every Arunachal Pradesh family is related to him. Addressing the key projects of his government, he called them 'Modi ki Guarantee'. He clarified that the Northeast's progress, especially in Arunachal Pradesh, demonstrates the significance of this assurance.

The Prime Minister used the Sela Tunnel's completion—which he had officially opened in 2019—as evidence of his promise. One primary program, the Vibrant Village Programme, has designated 2.967 villages for comprehensive development along the northern border, spread across 46 blocks and 19 districts. These districts can be found in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The Vibrant Village Programme has designated 662 communities for priority attention in its first phase. Out of these, Arunachal Pradesh is home to 455 villages. The program's goal is to improve living conditions for those who live in the border villages that have been identified. By encouraging individuals to stay in their ancestral lands, it seeks to successfully stop the outflow from these communities. Additionally, this endeavor helps to secure the border.
