    15 JMB Bangladesh Terrorist Enters India, 3 Arrested

    Kolkata: Around 15 operatives of Islamic terrorist organization operating in Bangladesh Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) have entered West Bengal from Bangladesh earlier this year and among them, 10 moved to various parts of India including Jammu and Kashmir informed an officer of Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police.





    As per the police report, the other five stayed back in West Bengal and three of them, who are Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from South Kokata’s Haridevpur area on Sunday.





    A police officer stated that during the interrogation the arrested three revealed that 10 JMB operatives have gone to Odisha, Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir.





    Moreover, the remaining two JMB operatives were being identified as Sheikh Sakil and Salim Munshi, the Special Task Force is looking for them as per the police report.





    The police officer said, “Sakil has helped them (The three others) in preparing fake Adhaar cards which they had used to get accommodation on rent in Haridevpur. The three came to India following the instructions of senior JMB leader al Ameen.”





    As per an official report, the STF has connected the Bangladesh Police to know the details of the arrested JMB operatives. Moreover, the landlord of the house of which they have taken two rooms on the rent was called for interrogation.





    In connection with the case, the National Investigation Agency started collecting information about the three arrested JMB operatives.





    NIA officer said, “We have started gathering information about them and trying to find out who else is associated with them. We are at a very initial stage.”





    Meanwhile, the three JMB operatives were handed to 14 days of police custody by the city court.
