In a disturbing case, a minor girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by a 25-year-old neighbour in Mumbai's Antop Hill neighbourhood.

The Antop Hill police had detained a 25-year-old man who was allegedly raping and impregnating a minor girl when she used to be alone at the house. The incident was revealed when the girl began to experience abdominal discomfort.
When the girl complained of stomach problems, the victim's parents went to the nearby hospital, where the doctor notified them that the girl was five months pregnant.
The Times of India quoted a Mumbai police officer stating, "The girl's parents took her to a doctor, who revealed that she was pregnant".
According to the authorities, the accused raped the girl anytime she was alone at home. After the event, the accused escaped with his wife and two children and rented a place on Mira Road.
"We worked on the accused's information and arrested him." On Friday, Mumbai police will present him before the judge for remand," a police officer stated.
The accused was arrested for rape under the POCSO Act's pertinent sections.
