The current half-net year's internship perspective (NAO) has increased to 56%, up 11% from the prior half-year.
Digital Desk: According to recent research released on Tuesday, over 72% of Indian companies and employers want to hire trainees this fiscal year. The Apprenticeship Outlook Report for H1 (January to June 2022) from TeamLease Skills University in Vadodara, Gujarat, looks at apprentice hiring trends in 18 enterprises and 14 cities.
According to the research, the current half-net year's internship perspective (NAO) has increased to 56%, up 11% from the prior half-year.
While there is a favorable view for apprentices across all sectors, employers in engineering (82%) and autos and ancillaries (74%), as well as retail (70%), have a more optimistic perspective.
Additionally, the statement emphasizes that in Chennai (75 percent), heeded by Ahmedabad (72 percent) and Delhi (70 percent), employers are scheduling to establish more trainees. The top profiles included data analytics executives (23 percent), production apprentices (20 percent), and supervision technician-electrical (20 percent).
"The prior five years have been quite rewarding in terms of embracing internships in India. "Understanding and progress in the apprenticeship scheme have dramatically increased employer belief, with more companies arriving at the forefront and hiring more apprentices," stated Sumit Kumar, Vice President - NETAP, in a report.
He stated that if the appropriate steps are made, India might have 10 million apprentices in the next decade.
To further increase apprenticeships in India, he advised developing a framework for faster adoption and execution of apprenticeship programs.
"A three-way partnership between academia, industry, and youth will go a long way toward improving these programs." "The recently introduced degree embedding programs by the UGC are a game-changer in education, addressing young employability, resolving the skill crisis, and achieving the gross enrollment ratio goal," Kumar counted.
The survey of 871 employers was conducted to determine the appointment sentiment for the HY (January to June) 2022 period.
