Digital Desk: In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, the BJP has passed the halfway point, and in Chhattisgarh, it has also gained ground on the ruling Congress party. Meanwhile, initial results indicate that the Congress has done the same in Telangana.

In Madhya Pradesh, the ruling BJP has passed the halfway point and is in the lead in 145 seats, with the Congress party leading in 82 constituencies.

In addition to congratulating party officials, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to X to express his "confidence" that the BJP will once again constitute the state's government. His X post said, "Janta Janardan ki Jai, Bharat Mata ki Jai."

Early trends in the Rajasthani election showed that it was going to be tight, but today the BJP is leading in 102 seats and the ruling Congress is leading in 76.

In Chhattisgarh, things ended on a cliffhanger, but the BJP is now marginally ahead of the Congress-led government. While Congress leads in 40 constituencies, the saffron party is ahead in 49 seats. However, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is losing behind BJP candidate Vijay Baghel in the Patan constituency.

In the Kamareddy constituency, where he is running against chairman Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Telangana Congress chairman Revanth Reddy is leading.

Surprisingly, Eatala Rajender, a former BRS member and current leader of the BJP, is trailing behind KCR, the chief minister of Telangana who is contesting from Gajwel.

Election results for Mizoram, which also went to the polls in this election cycle, will be declared on Dec 4, respecting the Christian-majority state's observance of Sunday.
