    Bollywood Actor Riya Sen Joins Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra in Maharashtra
    Pictures of Riya Sen and Rahul Gandhi taking part in the 71st day of the foot march were posted on the official account of the Indian National Congress.

    Digital Desk: Actor Riya Sen participated in the Bharat Jodo Yatra and walked alongside party leader Rahul Gandhi today in the Akola district of Maharashtra.

    Pooja Bhatt, an actor, and filmmaker participated in the yatra in Hyderabad earlier this month.

    Pictures of Riya Sen and Rahul Gandhi taking part in the 71st day of the foot march were posted on the official account of the Indian National Congress.

    "Actor Riya Sen joined #BharatJodoYatra. Now the roads are witnessing the revolution," the tweet read.



    Riya Sen, who is best known for the movies "Jhankaar Beats" and "Noukadubi," also posted on Twitter about the yatra.



    The actor wrote, "Happy to be a part of this platform not only from the film industry but also as a proud citizen!" 

    Moreover, in a previous post, she described the Bharat Jodo Yatra as a "show of unity".

    "Grateful to be a part of an initiative that is focused on bringing the people of this country together! @RahulGandhi thank you for championing this bold initiative in a show of unity. #BharatJodoYatra," Riya Sen said.

    On September 7, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu was the starting point for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a mass contact programme of the Congress. On November 7, it arrived in the Nanded district of Maharashtra.

    After stopping for the night at a ginning pressing business, the yatra set off at 6 am on Thursday from Patur. It would go on through Balapur in the evening and get to Buldhana district's Shegaon early on Friday.

    It has so far covered the state's Hingoli and Washim districts in addition to Nanded. On November 20, the march's route will pass through the Maharashtra districts of Akola and Buldhana before heading to Madhya Pradesh.
