Chandan Brahma ends political exile, BJP rumoured to target him for UPPL and run for Kokrajhar MP

Digital Desk: Chandan Brahma, the once-powerful minister, will return from his political exile. After an extended hiatus, the Bodo leader will return to politics. 

Following the Bodo student movement, there were numerous ups and downs in the political cycle of the leader's life as he pushed for armed revolt to achieve Bodo land self-rule. Chandan Brahma has served as a cabinet minister in the Congress administration then led by Tarun Gogoi. 

In 2021, Brahma contested from the Sidli constituency and lost against UPPL opponent Jayanta Basumatary, which marked the downfall of Brahma's life. before that, he lost the 2014 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat against Naba Kumar Sarania

However, the BPF leader is hoping to join the UPPL this time around and run for the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat. It is highly probable that Chandan Brahma, the leader of the BPF, will be proposed as the coalition candidate. The BJP-UPPL coalition in Kokrajhar has designed a new plan. It is obvious that Chandan Brahma, the leader of the BPF, might be presented as the alliance's nominee. 

Additionally, Pramod Boro stated that the topic of former chief Chandan Brahma joining the UPPL party is now being discussed on the party floor.
