Digital Desk: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday penned a letter to Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena pleading with him to recognise his constitutional duty of maintaining public order in light of a murder incident in Baljit Nagar.
He said in the letter that the city's crime rate had risen and that it appeared Delhi had turned into the center of crime.
He also raised Delhi's worsening law and order situation.
"According to the constitution, you (LG) are in charge of keeping Delhi law and order, and the police answer directly to you. Please consider paying heed to this, I beg you "According to Sisodia's letter.
"The general people of Delhi will benefit if you spend some time simplifying the failing law and order situation in the city," he added.
Sisodia also provided a summary of recent crimes that occurred in the city.
