Atishi criticized the election commission, accusing them of partiality towards BJP candidate.
Digital Desk: The Delhi Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Atishi who runs for Kalkaji in the Delhi Assembly elections because she violated the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and obstructed public servants in their job duties. The complaint was filed on Tuesday after Atishi encountered a situation in Govindpuri that resulted in her presence with 50-70 supporters using several vehicles at Fateh Singh Marg. The police requested them to empty that area based on MCC guidelines. Law enforcement has established that a First Information Report includes multiple legal sections following its filing for investigation which continues in progress.
Delhi Police filed another complaint targeting Atishi supporters who committed improper conduct with active police personnel during duty time. The published information revealed that Atishi violated electoral norms while acting as Election Commission member by obstructing Ramesh Bidhuri's nephew's route. The police department established official charges against Ramesh Bidhuri’s nephew following his obstruction of Atishi’s route.
The case registration prompted CM Atishi to post her statements on social media channels. The Election Commission received criticism from Atishi because Ramesh Bidhuri's family members broke election code rules. Atishi showed frustration because they had not received any punishment when she faced charges against her. She voiced multiple issues regarding election integrity as well as how such events affected electoral operations.
During the discussion AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal accused BJP of carrying out hooliganism acts. According to Kejriwal both the Election Commission as well as the police targeted AAP leaders while providing support to illegal BJP actions. Kejriwal issued a warning to all those who resisted these activities that they would face obstruction of duty charges.
This issue has intensified political tensions in Delhi, raising questions about the fairness and transparency of the electoral process.
