New Delhi : The election campaigning for the fourth phase has come to an end today. Over 12 crore 79 lakh voters will decide the fate of 945 candidates contesting from 71 constituencies in nine states on April 29 (Monday). Voting will take place in some seats of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.
Political leaders are leaving no stone unturned to reach to voters for their support and have put in lot of efforts to woo voters with their high profile campaigning. The campaigning will come to an end at 5 pm today. A total of 152 candidates are in the fray from the 13 LS Seats in this phase.
BJP president Amit Shah will be heading to Odisha for a public meet but before that he will be first addressing a campaigning rally at Morada of Mayurbhanj and then address a rally at Duburi in Jajpur.
Mayawati will be taking part in a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh’s Riwat. Congress President Rahul Gandhi will be I the Congress’ mainstays of Amethi and Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, while his sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadhra will lead a road show in Unnao and will address a public meeting at Barabanki, apart from leading a roadshow.
