The President of the Gujarat Youth Congress, Vishwanathsinh Vaghela, resigns

In January of this year, Vishwanathsinh Vaghela, 35, was chosen to lead the Gujarat Youth Congress.

    Digital Desk: Vishwanathsinh Vaghela,
the President of the Gujarat Youth Congress, resigned from his position today.
The resignation was announced one day before the Gujarat visit by Congressman Rahul
    Gandhi.

Prior to the party's "Bharat Jodo Yatra," Rahul Gandhi
will speak to a gathering of booth-level party activists for the forthcoming
Assembly elections in Gujarat on September 5.

On September 5, he will speak at the 'parivartan sankalp'
convention of booth-level workers in Ahmedabad's Sabarmati Riverfront.

    Rutvij Patel, a spokesman
for the Gujarat BJP, responded to Vishwanathsinh Vaghela's resignation by
saying, "Rahul Gandhi is coming to Gujarat tomorrow for 'Join Congress
Campaign,' but in the state the 'Quit Congress campaign,' is ongoing."

In January of this year, Vishwanathsinh Vaghela,
35, was chosen to lead the Gujarat Youth Congress.

Harpal Sinh Chudashma has been named president
of the Gujarat Youth Congress in the meantime.

Ghulam Nabi Azad has previously resigned from
all of his party's leadership roles.

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of
Assam, who left the Congress a few years ago after feeling "ignored"
by the leadership, stated earlier that Azad's resignation shared many
characteristics with the letter he wrote when he left the party in 2015.

    Rahul
Gandhi's mother is still attempting to advance him, which is a problem in
Congress because everyone knows he is "immature, whimsical, and unpredictable,"
    according to Sarma.

    Jaiveer
Shergill, a former spokesperson for Congress, has left the group. In
addition to leaving Congress, Priyanka Chaturvedi joined the Shiv Sena.
