Real life Dr Jekyll turned Mr Hyde: Killer Doctor fed his 100 victims to crocodiles in UP canal

New Delhi: This curious case of a Doctor who murdered more than 100 people can be easily compared to the genteel Dr Jekyll who later turned Mr Hyde. Ayurvedic practitioner Devender Sharma turned into a monstrous being after his journey into notoriety due to a failed business investment.

The Doctor’s into notoriety included a kidney transplant racket, the operation of a fake gas agency and the sale of stolen vehicles. To get the gas cylinders for his agency, he way laid gas delivery trucks and killed the drivers. He went on to killed cabbies for their vehicles and by his own reckoning, murdered over 100 people.

On his arrest on Wednesday – Sharma was detected living in southwest Delhi’s Baprola after jumping parole in January – another aspect of the macabre activities of the bachelor of ayurvedic medical sciences degree holder came to light. He dumped the bodies of his victims in Hazra Canal in UP’s Kasganj. The big population of crocodiles in the water body made short work of the corpses, obliterating all proof of Sharma’s dark deeds.
