Guwahati : As many as 20 Bangladeshis are being deported from Assam kept in Silchar and Kokrajhar detention camps through the border at Sutarkandi in Assam’s Karimganj district on May 4th, 2019.
20 Bangladeshis to be deported from Assam
Out of 20 Bangaldeshi nationals, 19 were kept at Silchar Central Jail while one woman in Kokrajhar Central Jail. They were arrested while entering the Indian Territory illegally.
The arrested Bangladeshi nationals were arrested on charges by the courts for violation of either the Passports Act or the Foriegners Act, or both.

20 Bangladeshis deployed to Bangladesh from Silchar and Kokrajhar detention centers.
As per a senior official of Assam Police’s border wing six among the 20 Bangladeshis are Hindus.
A detainee said that he arrived here in Assam for business purpose five years back but was caught by the police. He belongs to Sylhet city.
All the 20 detainees will be sent back by the Border Security Force deployed at the internal border and they will be handed over to the Bangladesh Rifles soldiers.
