    2nd All Assam Painting Competition to be Held Today

    The second edition of another popular event of Imaginary Canvas, the 2nd
    All Assam Painting Competition will be held today from 10am onwards at Skylark
    Public School, Maligaon, Guwahati.

    Imaginary Canvas is a
    professional group of 13 members, primarily based on Women Empowerment and
    working relentlessly as one with individual identities for bringing art and
    photography together. The group frequently arrange exhibitions across the state
    and have been a major part of grand festivals like Kite and River Festival and
    Rongali, 2022. They also organize free workshops mainly on themes related to
    women empowerment and Representation of Women in Administration and Creative field


    Talking to Prag News, the
    founder of the creative group, Abhishek Dey said that they have been giving
    chance to the small kids and teenagers so that they can learn and experience things
    individually. “We conduct this competition every year because we believe that competitions
    provide opportunity to improve performance and motivate the younger minds to
    put forth greater efforts that can result in better performance”, he added.


    The Registration Fee for
    taking part in the painting competition is 50 Rupees and both online and
    offline mode of registration and payment is available. For online registration,
    link has been provided to the interested participants. As informed by the
    organizers, already 400+ pre-registration has been done so far and also on-spot
    registration facility will be available. The competition will be held in 4
    categories. The categories are as follows:

    ·        
    Own Choice (Nursery- Class 3)

    ·        
    Landscape (Class 4 -7)

    ·        
    Assam Culture and Tradition (Class 8-11)

    ·        
    Conceptual or Abstract Art (Class 12 and
    above)

     The Painting Competition will be judged by Munindra
    Narayan Bhattacharya, an eminent artist and poet.

    The results will be
    announced at 2pm on the same day and winners will be awarded with trophies and
    certificates.
