    APCC files FIR against Kangana Ranaut for her remarks on Mahatma Gandhi

    Guwahati: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee has filed an FIR against Kangana Ranaut for making defamatory statements against Mahatma Gandhi, in Dispur Police Station on Thursday.





    The APCC in its complaint stated, “It is a grave insult to the freedom fighters as well as the martyrs by making such seditious comments by the aforesaid actress Kangana Ranaut. The statements have broken the heart of the Indian people as well as freedom fighters of Assam. lt is a grave offence of sedition conspiracy to the nation with intention to dishonour the freedom fighters and martyrs of nation builders."

    APCC demanded immediate action against the actress for her defamatory comments.





    Few days ago, Kangana Ranaut had shoot out a controversial statement targeting Mahatma Gandhi.





    Actor Kangana Ranaut on Tuesday claimed Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh got no support from Mahatma Gandhi and went on to mock his mantra of ahimsa by saying that offering another cheek gets you “bheek” not freedom.





    Kangana continued with her mocking by sharing an old news clipping headlined “Gandhi, others had agreed to hand over Netaji”.





    The report claimed that Gandhi, along with Jawaharlal Nehru and Mohammed Ali Jinnah, came to an agreement with a British judge that they would hand Bose over if he were to enter the country.
